The amazing scene was ᴄᴀᴘᴛᴜʀᴇᴅ by a photographer as he watched a white tree frog sitting on a tree branch next to a tiny white mouse.
At first the frog looks eagerly at the mouse, opens his jaws and sticks out its tongue.
The little mouse cʟᴏsᴇs its eyes, bracing for what’s to come until the frog changes its mind and decides not to ᴇᴀᴛ the rodent.
Grateful, the little mouse tentatively puts its paws on top on the frog’s head almost thanking it for not having him as lunch.
Photographer Tanto Yᴇɴsen, who ᴄᴀᴘᴛᴜʀᴇᴅ the extraordinary moment in Jakarta in Indonesia, said it was extremely ᴜɴᴜsᴜᴀʟ that the frog did not ᴇᴀᴛ the mouse.
He said: ‘The frog opened its mouth to try and ᴇᴀᴛ it but then changed its mind and became friends with the mouse instead.
‘The pictures show us anyone can be friends.
‘Usually frogs ᴇᴀᴛ the mice so I don’t know why it didn’t happen this time. After that, they looked like the best of friends.
‘This is the first time I have seen a frog deciding not ᴇᴀᴛ a mouse- it’s a very unique moment.
‘It shows how anyone can be a friend- even sometimes the person who we are supposed to hate.’
