Woman Sᴀᴠᴇᴅ Kitten from Dʀiveway But Didn’t Know Her Life Would Be Changed Forever too

Bree from California was coming home from a dɪɴɴᴇʀ last summer when she spotted a tiny kitten sitting in her ᴅʀiveway, nearly ᴍᴏᴛɪᴏɴʟᴇss.

As she walked up to her, the kitten started ᴄʀʏing and panting.

“When she saw me, she meᴏᴡᴇᴅ at me and tried to come up to me. It was so hot (110 degrees F) and she was so ᴛɪʀᴇᴅ and ᴍᴀʟɴᴏᴜʀɪsʜᴇᴅ that she only made it a couple steps,” Bree told Love Meow.

The mother cat was nowhere to be found. Bree bʀᴏᴜɢʜt the kitten in to get her some food and water. “She was three weeks old and had been ᴀʙᴀɴᴅᴏɴᴇᴅ by her sᴛʀᴀʏ mama.”

The next morning, she took the kitten (named Cloe) to the ᴠᴇᴛ to get her the ᴍᴇᴅɪᴄᴀʟ attention she needed.

“She had sᴇᴠᴇʀᴇ dehyᴅʀation, was ᴇxᴛʀᴇᴍᴇly ᴍᴀʟɴᴏᴜʀɪsʜᴇᴅ, covered in fʟᴇᴀs, and had ɪɴᴛᴇsᴛɪɴᴀʟ parasites,” Bree added.

“The ᴠᴇᴛ said she probably would have ᴅɪᴇd if I hadn’t taᴋᴇɴ her in.”

Over the next few days, they bottle fed the kitten around the clock. Bree had never had a cat until she found Cloe but she was determined to nurse her back to health.

The first couple of days were the toughest with little to no sleep. They helped Cloe ᴇᴀᴛ as she had no interest in food and kept her warm at all times.

“It took four days for her to finally get the energy to try to play.”

They continued to bottle feed her every 3-4 hours for almost a month. Iɴɪᴛɪᴀʟly, they planned to find her a home when she was old enough but that never happened.

“Cloe was already home… I fᴇʟʟ so ʜᴀʀᴅ for this little girl. She was stɪʟʟ underweight but I worked ʜᴀʀᴅ to fatten her up,” Bree said.

At one month old, Cloe reached 10 oz. She was stɪʟʟ very tiny for her age but had a voracious appetite and was getting more playful and curious.

By the time she was seven weeks old, she had explored the apartment and started offering “help” in the kɪᴛᴄʜen.

“She’s definitely a cuddly cat and likes to lay on my feet,” Bree told Love Meow.

Cloe follows her human mom everywhere she goes and doesn’t want to be ᴀʟᴏɴᴇ.

She’s a little ᴄᴜᴅᴅʟᴇbug!

A few months later, a new kitty named Crowley joined the family.

“I noticed that Cloe was restless when I’d come home from work and thought she could use a friend. He’s two weeks younger than her.”

After a few days of hissing and swatting, Cloe decided to snuggle up to her new pal for a ᴄᴜᴅᴅʟᴇ and the rest is history.

“They love each other so much now!”

The two budᴅɪᴇs do everyᴛʜɪɴg together.

They nap, ᴇᴀᴛ, and sit by the window, watching the day go by.

Bree who never thought about getting a cat until she met Cloe, now has two feline companions that she loves to ʙɪᴛs.

It’s been one year since Cloe was found in the ᴅʀiveway. “She sᴀᴠᴇᴅ me too! I ᴛʜɪɴk, she came to me exactly when I needed her!”
